To perform Resource Portfolio Management effectively, you must consider 100% of a resources’ day and you must address all phases of the project portfolio lifecycle. Milestone has worked tirelessly over the past years to produce an easy to understand framework for Resource Portfolio Management and our RPM™ tool that provides seamless Resource Portfolio Management capabilities to Microsoft Project.
During this session, we will outline a framework that will enable you do demonstrate immediate Resource Portfolio Management benefits using the Microsoft Project family of tools. We'll discuss how to begin forecasting, documenting and measuring resource allocation for multiple kinds of work. We’ll demonstrate how Milestone Consulting Group’s RPM for Project Server™ provides tools for managers, directors, and project managers, to quickly reflect commitments for all types of work and negotiate for resources. By the end of the session, you will have a firm grasp on how to get started with Resource Portfolio Management whether or not you choose to use our tool.
During this event, students will learn to define resource capacity, demand and utilization.
