SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Submitted for your approval. Time: the present. Place: A small dark stage, deep in the heart of the Mission.
It is a stage as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears, the summit of his knowledge and the little black box we like to call…..The Dark Room Theater.
Once again the return of spring and its promise of renewal becomes but a summer sign post up ahead, next stop? Dark Room Production’s Twilight Zone Live: Season X.

This year we assemble 16 directors, 8 Rod Serlings and various “commercials” for 8 weekends of ironic thrillers from the Twilight Zone pantheon performed live on our diminutive stage!!

“Applauded wildly,” writes SF Chronicle, “Played for sheer fun!”

Twilight Zone Live: Season X features the directorial talents of Front Row, Ham Pants, Craig Souza, Peter Illes, Sylvan Productions, Dean Mermell, Patrick Simms, Melinda Bailey, David J. Moore, Dan Wilson, Tim Kay, David Robson, Mike Spiegelman, Alexia Staniotes, Ralph Hoy and Thomas Apley.

The show will also feature Dan Foley, Dene Larsen, Adam Curry, Sherilyn Connelly, Diane Nathaniel, Thomas Apley, Rajeev Dhar and James Galileo playing Rod Serling.

All episodes will be staged live at The Dark Room Theater, 2263 Mission St, between 18th and 19th Streets. Episodes run June 7th - July 27th, 2013, Fridays and Saturdays @ 8pm.

The Dark Room Theater

The Dark Room Theater was founded in 2003. Providing the Greater Bay Area (and those who visit it) with stunning live adaptations and parodies of some of our most eye/mind-catching works (The Twilight Zone, The Princess Bride, Goodfellas, Star Trek: The Way To Eden, Star Wars, and James Bond to name a few) almost nothing is off limits in the world of make-believe that is The Dark Room Theater.

The Dark Room Theater FAQ

Can I Bring In Booze?

Nope! The Dark Room Theater is an all ages venue that could be shut down if the wrong people happened to see booze inside!

Aw... But Really?

Yes... Really and for realsies.

Where Are The Restrooms?

The restrooms are located past the stage, down the hall, red doors on the left.

So, Can I Use Them During The Show?

During the majority of performances at The Dark Room Theater we ask that unless it is an emergency you use the restroom before the show begins or after it has ended. Shows almost never run longer than one hour.

The Show I REALLY Wanted To See Sold Out Online! Help What Do I Do?

Shows at The Dark Room Theater have limited seating with a slightly restricted view available at the door, once doors open. Doors tend to open 30 minutes before the show's starting time. No tickets will be sold at the door before the doors open.

What If I Call/Email/Knock On The Door/Offer A Vial Of Blood AND/OR Unborn Child?

Still the same deal as above... Please don't do the last one.

I Keep Calling The Night Of A Show Because I Have Questions, Why Won't Anyone Pick Up?

Due to how frantic things can get as we gear up for our shows we turn the ringers off generally around an hour before a night of shows begins. Also, we don't like it when shows get interrupted by phones ringing. This means that if we have shows running until 12am, the phones are off until then. You can always send in an email, which has a far better chance of being noticed.
