Turning the Curve on Youth Violence: Acting on What Works, brings together educators, law enforcement, families, youth, justice system professionals, service providers and community members to inform the development of a comprehensive youth violence prevention plan for Santa Cruz County. The conference will build the capacity of stakeholders working to address issues of youth violence prevention and intervention with an emphasis on assets based approaches to youth development, early prevention strategies to reduce youth violence, and evidenced based practices for prevention and intervention for schools, families, law enforcement and policy makers. Participants will learn key elements of the comprehensive youth violence prevention plan and how to get involved to ensure its successful implementation.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be served. Please reserve your space ASAP.
