Team Up DC Coaches Certification consists of multiple levels of training at no cost to local coaches and youth workers. The trainings will consist of CPR/First Aid/AED, youth development, strength and conditioning and more!
This Course - Level 1: Basic CPR/First Aid/AED
TUDC CPR/First Aid/AED Training (course limited to 12 participants)
(Participants must complete pre and post course surveys)
Audience: Workshop suggested for youth workers, full time, part time and volunteer coaches
“The CPR course is for the general public, such as teachers, coaches, and those requiring certification for their workplace. The First Aid: a basic course for the general public and those requiring certification to treat victims in an emergency. It covers burns, cuts, sudden illnesses, heat/cold emergencies and more. These trainings will allow trainees to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years."
As a result of this workshop, participants will…
- Participants become more safety aware, helping bring down the number of accidents
- Participants learn how to perform CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (optional), bandage injuries, and control blood flow
- Participants learn critical skills for emergencies anywhere, not just the sporting environment; Investing in training also invests in our society and will protect our youth
YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED.
At least 24-48 hours of notification is required if a trainee is unable to attend a session. Failure to notify will result in a fee if you wish to attend a make-up class --half of the full payment of the original training cost.
**Important: If trainee shows up more than 20 minutes late, they will not be able to receive the certification. Please allow for 3.5 – 4 hours for CPR/First Aid/AED Training.
Tickets are non-refundable and only allowed to be used for purchaser unless approval is received from Team Up DC representative.

The DC Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation (The Trust) created the Team Up DC Youth Sports Network (Team Up DC) to improve the quality of youth sports programs in Washington, DC in order to increase positive and healthy outcomes for participating youth.
The mission of Team Up DC is to use sports as a youth development tool to create positive academic, health and life outcomes for DC’s youth. Our vision is that each youth will have access to high quality youth sports programs that provide opportunities to develop their academic, career, personal, social and athletic skills. Our goal is for youth to use the lessons learned through sports in their growth into healthy and thriving adults.
