The 7th annual Tritonman is hosted by the UC San Diego Triathlon Team at the site of history’s first modern triathlon. Way back in 1974, the San Diego Track Club put on the Mission Bay Triathlon (consisting of a run-bike-swim-run) on Fiesta Island. UCSD is proud to continue that legacy today with the Tritonman: a 750m open-water swim, 20K bike, and 5K run.
This year, we're adding a race with a brand new format: a draft-legal triathlon! We're opening a select number of spots for both open and WCCTC racers. This race will be hosted Saturday, Feb 23rd, the day before the main event.
Registration fees will go up 4 weeks before the race and will close Friday, February 22, at 7:00AM. There will be race day registration available for a flat fee of $100 per athlete, $250 for a relay team.
