Event Details

On Monday, March 10, 2014 Triptych: An Evening of Painting and Music, held in conjunction 
with the exhibition of painter Simon Dinnerstein's The Fulbright Triptych at the German Consulate
will feature composer Robert Sirota's Triptych performed by the Chiara String Quartet
(Rebecca Fischer and Hyeyung Julie Yoon, violins; Jonah Sirota,
viola; and Gregory Beaver, cello).
Both Dinnerstein and Sirota will discuss their respective works.

The Fulbright Triptych is on display in the Lobby of the German Consulate until March 31, 2014. The event begins at 6pm, with a presentation by Simon Dinnerstein, who will give a talk on his use
of the triptych form in fine arts and on the history of the triptych in Western art,
accompanied by projected images of the triptych through history as well as images
of The Fulbright Triptych.
Robert Sirota will discuss his composition, Triptych, which was written to commemorate
the victims of September 11, 2001, followed by the Chiara String Quartet's performance of the work.
Additionally, Dinnerstein will be available for audience members who wish to view and discuss
The Fulbright Triptych with him in the Lobby from 4-6pm.
A reception with all of the artists will follow the performance.
