Reporters Bill Daley and Judy Hevrdejs and editors Joe Gray and Carmel Carillo take the stage to talk food journalism, from trend-spotting to finding fresh takes on perennial favorites; from managing a test kitchen to creating striking photography and design. Tribune restaurant critic Phil Vettel also will make an incognito appearance to lift the veil (but only a little!) on how dining reviewing works.
