TRENDS IN COLOR & DESIGN

Mark will cover macro influences from around the world, looking at fashion, technology, food, etc., and how they affect our lives and enable us to relate to color palettes. He will introduce the forecasting process around color & design and provide anecdotal stories about inspiration because, bottom line, it's all about being inspired; by what we wear, what we eat, what we listen to, and more.

A light lunch will be served. This presentation qualifies as .01 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through IDCEC.

About Mark Woodman

Mark Woodman CMG, a passionate, dynamic designer, writer and speaker, has contributed to the pages and airwaves of media, the stages of exhibitions and the product lines of international manufacturers.

Through the world of color and design he has embraced consultancies with international companies, and trend panels and served as President of the Color Marketing Group, the premier, international association for color and design professionals, to study and predict color direction. Mark’s aesthetic understanding of “real-life” color and design helps balance his approach to product specification, complementing practical application with the excitement of “the new.”

As owner of Mark Woodman Design & Color, a design/décor consulting firm, Mr. Woodman’s design work has ranged from individual product lines to private residences and office interiors to hand selecting the exterior color palettes for entire communities.

A spirited and accomplished international speaker, Mr. Woodman frequently lectures on color and design for prominent organizations such as ASID, PDCA and CMG and exhibitions at Stockholm Furniture Fair, SOFA, Surfaces, NeoCon and Furnitex and Decoration and Design in Australia and a “go to” presenter for International Design Guild.
