Carbs! Learn the good and bad about Carbohydates. CCNS's Head Coach Aidan Charles will be showing clinic attendees how to really think about carbohydrates and apply their new knowledge to eating on and off the bike. Expect delicious food samples and an open Q & A session afterwards!
About the Speaker, Coach Aidan Charles:
Coach Aidan Charles is a 2006 Graduate of Mary Washington University, with a B.S. degree in Biology with concentrations in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. He spent portions of his athletic career racing professionally and internationally for the Nerac Pro Cycling team and the USA National Team. He is still a successful Category 1 Road Racer (current Connecticut State Road Race Champion) and director of the Aetna Cycling Team. Aidan has coached athletes to numerous athletic titles, including over 10 National Championship victories. He has also consulted with various varsity and non-varsity collegiate athletic programs (including Mary Washington, Yale, and Wesleyan Universities) on training program periodization and methodology. Aidan enjoys helping all levels of athletes, from the beginner to the professional level, in a variety of endurance sports, including Cycling, Running, Rowing, and Multi-sport., including Cycling, Running, Rowing, and Multi-sport.
