Event Details

My name is Ljuba and I'm the creator of Transporter (www.transporterapp.net), the popular and beautifully designed (free) Bay Area transit app. I created it year and half ago, and now Transporter has gone open-source!

To kick this off, I'm hosting an a hackathon (and designathon) to get the community together and start working on the future of the Bay Area's best publict transit app. Got a feature you want to implement?

Anyone who wants to make Transporter even better, in particular:
– Developers familiar with iOS, PHP, Postgres
 – UX/UI Designers

Feel free to check out the code (both server code and iPhone code) on github before the event.

This even is hosted at the beautiful Adaptive Path studios on Pier 1, on The Embarcadero (immediately north of the Ferry Building, halfway down Pier 1). It can be tricky to find (even on Google Maps), so I made my own map

Snacks and drinks will be provided. Lunch and dinner options abound in this part of San Francisco, so you'll have no trouble finding delicious things to eat.

Transporter is free. This event is free. That's just how it is.
