We make the cost of TCamp as low as we can to make sure we can be as inclusive as possible, but the reality is that each TCamp ticket costs over $85. Any donation of over $20 will secure you TCamp registration and go towards supporting the cost of tickets for other Campers who may not have the means to buy their own way. If you’re willing or able, consider helping to support TCamp with any additional amount you can give.

Event Details

-- TCAMP 2012 IS SOLD OUT --
But that doesn't mean we're closing the doors!
Sign up for our waitlist and swing on by GMU this weekend if you want to join us. We're maxing out on our amenities, but not on our community!

Transparency Camp is an “unconference” for opengov: an event where, each year, journalists, developers, technologists, policy-makers, government officials, students, academics, wonks, and everyone in between gather together to share their knowledge about how to use new technologies and policies to make our government really work for the people -- and to help our people work smarter with our government.

As an "unconference," Transparency Camp emphasizes the important contributions that each and every attendee brings with them into the sessions, workshops, and conversations associated with this event. In fact, attendees (yes, all of them) are brought into the process of making the schedule for the conference with the organizers and are encouraged to step up and lead sessions themselves. (Check out our TCamp 2011 recap video to get a better sense of what we mean.)

To get started sharing your ideas for sessions, head to our Google Moderator page. For more information about our TCamp travel scholarship program or our partner event on the 30th (the Voter Information Project Hackathon), check out the TransparencyCamp website.

Interested in coming to TCamp, but find the distance or cost of travel a challenge? Check out our travel scholarship program. For more information on this program, head here, or go straight to the application.

Pssst. Are you a developer? Stay an extra day and join a batch of civic hackers on April 30th for the Voting Information Project Hackathon! Register to hack above by selecting the "VIP Camper" ticket, or learn more at http://transparencycamp.org/viphackathon/.
