WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT?
„Transparency Works“ is back with the Hacks for Transparency hackathon! Have you ever heard of „Ushahidi“, „OpenCongress“ or „FixMyStreet“? Transparency International together with the Random Hacks of Kindness is organizing a global hackathon ‚Hacks for Transparency‘ which will take place in six countries around the globe on 6 – 7 October. If you are ready to spend 48 hours developing new e-transparency ideas and tools, join us in Vilnius!
Location: Contemporary Arts Centre, Vokiečių str. 2.
The aim of this event is to promote, develop and integrate innovative and sustainable ICT solutions to curb on bureaucracy, achieve greater accountability and make the fight against corruption more effective! Therefore we invite anti-corruption activists and technology experts to gather in Vilnius for 48 hours and work together in creating innovative solutions that can change the world!
HOW CAN YOU MAKE THIS HAPPEN?
There are two ways:
• Propose an idea – submit a short problem statement explaining how your idea can contribute to the fight against corruption and promote greater transparency. You can submit your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org;
• Or get your team together, spend 48 hours creating innovative solutions to promote transparency and win 1000 EUR!
