Transitioning to Tech: Moving from a Traditional Field into Entrepreneurialism
Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (BST)
London, United Kingdom
Benji Lanyado used to be a journalist; now he knows how to program and founded his own successful startup, Picfair. Wendi Li is an ex-banker and management consultant, who is currently taking a sabbatical from the Boston Consulting Group to help expand community development and partnerships at Transferwise, a peer-to-peer international money transfer platform. Mikey Howe was a banker, and is now a director with Escape the City.
How did they do it? Come hear Benji, Wendi, and Mikey discuss their transition to tech. There will be beer. We're also fortunate to have Colin Pyle of Silicon Real as a moderator!
