Join Boulder County Parks & Open Space for our first ever “Trail-to-Farm Bike Tour.” This family-friendly self-guided ride will travel along the LOBO Trail between Niwot and south Longmont. Stops along the way will highlight vegetables, an orchard, native plant propagation, livestock, ditches & irrigation, corn fields, and a fun agriculture education area. Ideal for families with kids, there will be activities for kids and parents at each stop, including prizes. Everyone is welcome!
Details: Three check-in points will be available from 9 am until noon. The tour will end and all stops will close at 1 pm. Check-in points: Niwot High School (parking available), Left Hand Valley Grange Park in Niwot (no parking, bike in only), Peck Property at west side of 95th and LOBO trail just south of Longmont, just north of Ollin Farm (no parking, bike in only). Parking is available at Front Range Community College at 2190 Miller Drive, Longmont, this is just north of Peck property.
Costs: $5 per child (under 18), $10 per adult and $25 for a family (max 6).
Children must be supervised.
Trail Info: Approximately 7 miles round-trip. Trail surfaces include concrete, crusher fines, gravel and dirt.
