Please join us for a week-long meditation retreat (weekthun) at Sonoma Mountain Zen Center, a beautiful retreat center in Sonoma County with strong ties to the Shambhala community. The retreat will include two practice tracks:
1. A sitting meditation track led by Jesse Miller. Anyone can participate in this track, which will include periods of sitting and walking meditation, talks and discussion, and meetings with a meditation instructor.
2. A Vajrayana track providing an opportunity for Vajrayana practitioners to join together for group practice, including Rigden or Kagyü ngöndro, Werma or other practices. This track will include recorded talks (which will be selected based on the practice focus of the participants) and time for study and discussion.
The price of the retreat includes lodging and three delicious vegetarian meals a day. There are two options for attending the retreat: full attendance (7 nights), or a long weekend option over Memorial Day weekend (3 nights from May 23-26). The retreat will begin with dinner on May 19, and will end with lunch on May 26 (long weekend option will begin with dinner on May 23).
