"A Heartbreakingly lived-in portrait… Packs a savage, but understated, punch." --Variety
A Special Sneak Peek of WHERE SOLDIERS COME FROM
From a snowy small town in Northern Michigan to the mountains of Afghanistan and back, WHERE SOLDIERS COME FROM follows the four-year journey of childhood friends and their town, forever changed by a faraway war. A documentary about growing up, the film offers an intimate look at the young men who fight our wars, and the families and town they come from. Returning to her hometown, Director Heather Courtney gains extraordinary access following these young men as they grow and change from teenagers stuck in their town, to 23-year-old veterans facing the struggles of returning home.
Director Heather Courtney will participate in a Q&A after the screening.

When & Where
The Picture House
Several years ago a group of concerned citizens in lower Westchester organized to save the 1920s Pelham Picture House, now listed on the NY State Register of Historic Places, from the wrecking ball. The Picture House, recently restored and renovated, is now an independent film and education center. The Picture House entertains audiences with great movies – indies, foreign films, classics, shorts, animated films and documentaries from around the world. By inviting, actors, directors, producers, screen writers, and film critics to discuss their work, we bring the back lot to our front door.
