Tool Training: Manual Milling Machine
Somerville, United States
If you already know what you want to build and you just want to learn how to use the tools you need safely (or if you just want a refresher), Tool Training sessions are for you. Classes are kept small so each student gets a lot of personal attention, and each training session is themed for a certain set of tools - just take the sessions you need to get going.
"Basic Metalworking Machine Tools" strongly recommended. Students are encouraged to bring scrap materials or personal projects to class.
Practice materials will be provided by Artisan's Asylum.
Manual Milling Machine tool trainings are available on Monday evenings, from 7:30pm to 10pm. You can register for a particular session according to the dates on the ticket types above.
Eric Van Dyke thinks about one thing and one thing only–how things are made. As a manufacturing engineer, he enjoys the company of high-powered robots, loud assembly lines, molten plastics, and shiny metals. He’s published research on high-speed aluminum machining, competed in robot design competitions, and loves photography. Eric is an industrial fermentation engineer by day and an avid beer homebrewer by night. He will help you rebuild the world after the zombies have come and gone.
