Tool Training: Individual Tools
Monday, November 21, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EST)
Somerville, United States
If you already know what you want to build and you just want to learn how to use the tools you need safely (or if you just want a refresher), Tool Training sessions are for you. Classes are kept small so each student gets a lot of personal attention, and each training session is themed for a certain set of tools - just take the sessions you need to get going.
Individual tool training sessions focus on a specific piece of equipment that is too complex to fit into other training sessions. These pieces of equipment currently include the CNC Mill, the CNC Router, sewing machines, MIG welders, milling machines, and lathes.
By the end of the tool training session, students will be able to use the individual tool under discussion safely. After passing a proficiency test the next time they visit Artisan's Asylum, they will be able to use all of the tools indicated in our workspace.
None, with the exception of the CNC mill and CNC router. CNC mill training requires previous experience with milling machines or a previously scheduled milling machine training session. CNC router training requires previous experience operating CNC equipment or an operational understanding of g-code and numerical control.
All practice materials provided by Artisan's Asylum.
Sessions will be scheduled on demand, as soon as students and instructors are available.
