The hot steamy days of summer are upon us, which is why we must revel in crisp, effervescent refreshment.
Join us for our first Manhattan installment, for endless tastings of cool sparking fermented apple libations, paired perfectly with the scalding wit and sharp tongues of your favorite queer and LGBTQ allies.
Oh and OF COURSE scintillating GF and vegan snacks.
Because we're into that.
This month's meetup will be supporting The Persist Health Project - http://www.persisthealthproject.org/ - a peer-led health organization based on Brooklyn, New York. They are by and for sex workers, trafficking survivors, and anyone who has traded sex for money, food, drugs, or other resources, providing health referrals, health education, and peer support. AKA they are RADICAL.
This month's cider will be coming from a wonderful friend and responsible farmer from just a couple hours north of us city folk, Elizabeth Ryan. Her Breezy Hill ciders are seriously old school, unfiltered, complex, and deliciously chilly.
Also, would you like to be serenaded by Louvel? Your wish is our command.
"Is she a boy? Is he a girl? Louvel is a musician and drag performer that leaves those questions at the door and uses music as their signifier."
All other tune-age will be curated and playlisted by the wonderful dj scantron of Homoground.
Stay tuned for announcements to come about more special guests and entertainment - trust us, have we ever led you astray? (in a bad way, that is...)
Share on FB or TWITTER that you bought a ticket (tag @tonguesncider or us personally #HOTAUGUSTNIGHT) and you'll get a special gift when you arrive... ;)
