Tom Rush & Jonathan Edwards
Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM (EDT)
The Colonial Theatre in Bethlehem, NH kicks off its 2011 LIVE! at The Colonial Series with a very special performance featuring two legends of folk music.
Tom Rush is a gifted musician and performer, whose shows offer a musical celebration...a journey into the tradition and spectrum of what music has been, can be, and will become. His distinctive guitar style, wry humor and warm, expressive voice have made him both a legend and a lure to audiences around the world. His shows are filled with the rib-aching laughter of terrific story-telling, the sweet melancholy of ballads and the passion of gritty blues.
A Jonathan Edwards concert is warm as summer sunshine, real as the truth, intimate as a long overdue visit between old friends. Four decades into a stellar career of uncompromising musical integrity, the man simply delivers, night after night – songs of passion, songs of insight, songs of humor, all rendered in that pure and powerful tenor which, like fine wine, has only grown sweeter with age.
