Who is that with the interesting looking ears? She's an Abert's squirrel! Discover why these bushy-tailed animals are always climbing in the ponderosa pines.
These 45 minute programs are specifically designed for children 2-5 with an adult. No older children please. Programs are held at 10:15 and 11:15 a.m. at Lookout Mountain Nature Center. These programs are very popular, so reserve your space early. Participant limit: 15 children.
Registration for this program opens at 9:00 AM one month before the date of the program. If you are registering after this time, but space is no longer available, please call Lookout Mountain Nature Center at 720-497-7600 to be placed on a waiting list.

Jefferson County Open Space was founded as a land conservation organization in 1972. Its mission is to preserve land, protect park and natural resources, as well as provide healthy nature-based experiences. Funded with a one-half of one percent sales tax, the agency contributes to city and recreation district projects and manages 44,613 acres, 28 regional parks, and 230 miles of trails in Jefferson County, Colorado.
