Event Details

WED 9/21 6-9pm - TIMES SQUARE SOCIAL Networking Party
The Hit GAY Networking Party @ Dave and Busters: 234 W 42nd St

Featuring: Games (half price all night), No Cover, Drink Specials (until 7:30pm), HUNDREDS of great guys, TONS of CELEBS!

* CELEB ALERT (NEW): Meet LEVI JOHNSTON who is in town promoting his new book DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS - MY LIFE IN SARAH PALIN'S CROSSHAIRS. Levi will be swinging by our party and will be happy to sign your own copies of his appearance in I (you have to bring your own copy - they will not be on sale at the event). He won't be there for the whole party, so arrive early if you want to meet him!

* CELEB ALERT: Meet MICHAEL MUSTO who will be signing copies of his new book FORK ON THE LEFT, KNIFE IN THE BACK (available for sale at the event). "Fork on the Left, Knife" in the Back" (Vantage Point Books) is Village Voice gossip maestro's sizzling compilation of his juiciest work, from decadent romps on the town to sit down psyche probes with personalties like Paris Hilton, Sarah Silverman, and Michael Lucas. All through this raunchy rollercoaster ride, Musto mouths off on joyless parties, rude celebrities, and bad sex, though some positivism shines through in the chapter dedicated to the offbeat LGBTs who make him feel "Weirdos Are My Heroes." The book also includes Musto's new essays on the celebrity glass closet, the allure of blind items, the pitfalls of social networking, and the wonders of the blogosphere. "Michael Musto is a genius" says Joan Rivers, and the reviews so far have been equally ecstatic, calling this a "Musto reado."

* CELEB ALERT: Meet MICHAEL GRIFFO who will be signing copies of UNWELCOME (available for sale at the event), a fresh spin on young adult vampire novels. At Archangel Academy, Michael Howard has found new friends, new love, and a place that feels more like home than Nebraska ever did. But the most unexpected gift the school has given him is immortality. Life as a newly-made vampire is challenging for Michael, even with the experienced Ronan to guide him. Michael's abilities are still raw and unpredictable. The ancient feud between rival vampire species is sending ripples of discord through the school, and the new headmaster's charismatic front hides a powerful and very personal tragedy. Choosing the wrong person to trust-or to love-could lead to an eternity of regret.

* CELEB ALERT : Meet BENEDICT MAZUREK and JOHN EDGAR MOSER from CONSENT - Impetus Ensemble is proud to present a special encore presentation of this - bold and timely new play "CONSENT" which examines the many types of bullying gay youth face, obvious and subtle. The work focuses on Seth, a troubled sixteen-year-old, trying to come to terms with his sexuality in the face of ridicule and prejudice. In addition, the play very honestly depicts Seth's sexual awakening as he crushes on his bully's younger brother. Based, in part, on factual events, the play explores the myriad of reasons gay teens feel compelled to consider suicide and provides quite the potentially controversial twist to a much too prevalent story. Impetus Ensemble hopes to continue to raise awareness about this important subject. Click here for info about Consent.
