This workshop is designed to get you to stop and take time for yourself. It teaches art journaling as a tool for your self-care toolkit.
It is an ongoing, "drop-in" workshop beginning on June 2, 2013 and running throughout the rest of the year (ending December 1, 2013). Meets monthly on the first Sunday of the month.* Each week's lesson is independent of the previous week(s) -- if you miss a week you will not fall behind.
We will be creating an Open Doorways Journal, where you will be able to learn the healing power of art, while creating a personal journal which will serve to uplift and empower you going forward. You will also learn the importance of, creating, and implement a daily self-care regimen for yourself.
Come on out and join us in this self-empowerment circle!
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
COST: $25 per month, includes all supplies except your journal. Participants should purchase a Canson XL Mixed Media spiral bound journal, size 9 x 12 for this workshop.

When & Where
Soulful Emergence Art Gallery
The Soulful Emergence Art Gallery came into being due to a need in the world for beauty and healing. Art, and the pursuit of it, brings the world both...
Bringing the healing power of art to all -- most especially women -- is the "why" of this Gallery. It is why we opened, why we host workshops that teach art as a tool for self-care, and why we are dedicated to remaining open no matter where our Country's economic status may be at the time. We exist in order to bring beauty to a world that doesn't remember the importance of art.
In everything we do, we emerge. We come more fully into view, seeing our true self and allowing that truth to shine brightly on the outside. In the words of Marianne Williamson:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
Come. Let your light shine brightly -- on the outside. Here at Soulful Emergence Art Gallery, we won't be blinded by your light. We encourage you to turn it on and up high in order that others may liberate themselves and allow their lights to shine brightly too.
