NOTE: This intensive course is designed for students have completed at least one MIG welding intensive at All Metal Arts, or those who have intermediate to advanced welding experience.
TIG welding is the most precise way to join metals, like steel, stainless steel, copper, bronze, aluminum and more. This intensive class is perfect for you, if you want to manipulate stainless steel and aluminum, or produce high quality welds for architectural or sculptural purposes. Practical projects that use TIG include bicycle building and brewing equipment.
TIG welding takes time and commitment to master. This intensive class is designed to be intimate with one-on-one instruction and plenty of hands-on exercises. The goal is for you to spend the maximum amount of time welding. At the end of your scheduled intensive session you will understand how to safely operate welding machinery, including how to adjust it for different materials. We will use a Miller Syncrowave 300, Miller Syncrowave 180 and Miller Diversion 180.
The purpose of this class is to help you understand the strengths and limitations of the TIG welding process and understand the theory and practice behind TIG use. This is an intro class suitable for beginning and intermediate tig users. It is a very small class, we will have plenty of time to answer your questions.
