Rock It Science, Redline & Public Works present:
DJ CRAZE (Slow Roast Records, 3 time DMC Champion - Miami)
Craze is a 3 time DMC turntablist champion (the only DJ to boast this accomplishment) who remains a trailblazer. He is one of the few battle DJs who has successfully transitioned into a dance floor rocker, combining his unstoppable skills with the latest in DJ technology and embracing a wide spectrum of music from old school hip hop and miami bass to electro and dubstep from the future.
Craze’s life is a legacy of rags to riches, geek to chic, no-name to world fame. He never had it easy from fleeing a battle in Nicaragua at the age of 3 to a geeky adolescence to Hurricane Andrew hitting Miami in 1992 nor did have ever have any coattails to ride; his is a story that's an uphill battle, but a story that ends right at the top. "My mom always taught me I could do anything I put my mind to. So when she asked what I wanted to do with my turntables, I told her, 'Be the best DJ in the world,'" Craze casually laughs. And that he proved 3 times at the DMC World Championships, an unprecedented record, and a title that no other solo DJ has yet to match.

"Givin' the People what they Want"
Public works is a multifaceted event and community space in San Francisco's Mission District that consists of a performance/event space, bar, art gallery and artist work shop/community room.
During the day artists conceive and produce work that will come to light as the sun goes down and the electronic and indie music scenes bubble up to fill this new home for the SF Underground.
From DJ oriented Club Parties and live bands to independent film screenings, performance art and random creative Outbursts, Public Works is a Hangout, a Happening, an Adventure.
The art gallery provides a space where the work of local SF based artists can mingle with both the up and coming art star and the budding savant, encouraged to show by one of the Cities creatively oriented non profits.
With studio space at a premium here in San Francisco four artist residents will be afforded, at no cost, a daytime work shop that come evening transforms into a community room available free of charge to neighborhood groups and other benevolent organizations.
We encourage the growth of art and creativity in the Mission and San Francisco as a whole and are intent to provide a forum and a physical space for both.
As part of our commitment to the Neighborhood we will donate a portion of our proceeds to various local non profits in addition to assisting them with promotions and events. Root Division ( http://rootdivision.org/ ), a non profit which brings art classes to kids in schools that can't afford programs is a current beneficiary.
We're all about bringing the wide array of San Francisco's underground scenes and styles together under one roof while promoting and linking with some of the bay areas most inspiring, creatively oriented non profits
