Our discussion this week celebrates the full inventory of the Thornhill Design Lab and allows for a brief meeting to discuss the upcoming calendar of related events.

The purpose of the weekly event is to give details about The Thornhill Design Laboratory, our continuous improvement and specific projects.  Our current inventory:

(1) The Thornhill Design Lab Salon – Weekly On Wednesday

(2) The Thornhill Design Lab Workshop – Aesthetics In Business, Process and Product Development

(3) Thornhill Digital Storytelling (TDS) - http://digitalstorytellingseminar.blogspot.com/.

(4) The Fashion Media Project – “What Are You Wearing New Year’s Eve?” Transmedia Special

(5) Client Services - Expensive! Research, Planning, Development

(6) Development – Growth, Vertical Integration

(7) Production & Learning Studio – Acquiring Or Building

Join us each Wednesday morning (we start at 10:00 AM) in the Fireside Room at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, 4272 Fremont Avenue in Seattle, Washington 98103.  Check: http://fremontabbey.org.  The salon will always be a source for everything at the Design Lab and up-to-the-minute news in the design world.

There is no mandatory fee to attend, but donations will be accepted when you register.  Pay what you choose.  Advance registration is requested.  Register today at: http://tdlsalon4.eventbrite.com.  Caution: We have limited our group to twelve, so that each person can fully participate in the discussion.

Book news this week is not a book, but Techbooks, a book business.  Check the provocative article in the New York Times at: www.nytimes.com/2012/08/20/technology/discovery-invests-in-digital-textbooks-in-hopes-of-growth.html?_r=1&ref=media.  We would certainly like to get your opinion.  Join us – or email it!

Almost every company, organization, school, artist and entrepreneur will think this year about their basic technology and equipment for access.  This is our Digital Landscape.  With many changes afoot, we also worry about “Program Integration” for existing and new elements.  We have new information!

Hospitality is part of the package.  Coffee and bottled water will be served.  You are welcome to bring pastries or treats for the group to enjoy.  If your company has bigger concepts for partnering with the Lab – let me know!

The busiest part of The Thornhill Design Lab is the Thornhill Digital Storytelling initiative.
