Event Details

Please join us for an evening of sampling the finest examples of Scotch, Bourbon, and Wine, paired with gourmet fare the highlights the unique characteristics of each.  Hors D'oeuvres will include cheese tiers, baked raspberry almond brie, spinach dip and Mediterranean hummus. The gourmet buffet will have a choice of three entrees, plus a made-to-order pasta station.  

Scotch selections include Glenlivet 12 yr, Glenfiddich, and The Macallan.  Bourbon includes Woodford Reserve, Makers Mark and Knob Creek, and wine will highlight both an oaked and unoaked chardonnay, a pinot noir and a cabernet.

We have a group rate of $99 at the Holiday Inn West booked under Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center (group code SFC), and there is a free shuttle from the event.  There is a designated driver discount of $35, available on the 'Couple' ticket.

Seating is assigned, please let us know the names of others in your group so we can seat you together!



Proceeds benefit the Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center, a project of the historic Furnace Street Mission, Inc. The Chaplaincy Center provides confidential emotional, mental health and substance abuse counseling, plus spiritual and material support FREE OF CHARGE to law enforcement, fire safety, EMS, dispatch and their families throughout Summit County.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

This is a 21-and-over event, as we are serving alcohol.

 

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is generous on-site parking.  We have a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn West, 4073 W. Market St. (330-666-4131) and there is a free shuttle to/from our event.  We offer a Designated Driver discount of $35 off the price of a ticket, and Uber is always available.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No ticket necessary.  Your registration will be in our system.

Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center

The Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center is a project of the historic Furnace Street Mission Inc.  Director A. Robert Denton, PhD, LISW-S is Senior Chaplain of both the Akron Police Department and the Akron Fire Department.

The mission of the Summit County Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center is to incorporate its unique understanding of and experience in the safety professions to provide confidential emotional, mental health, substance abuse counseling, spiritual and material services free of cost  to law enforcement, fire safety, dispatchers and their families.
