Event Details

Westchester County’s First Annual ’Stache-Off will take place Saturday, November 14 from 7-10PM at the Music Conservatory of Westchester. Open to all mustaches of Westchester, the ’Stache-Off features local men competing for “best in ‘stache” prizes from Movember.com, TheCheapPop.com, Equinox Fitness of Mamaroneck, Sam Ash, The New York Knicks, and many more to be named.

The event is presented by Jon Chattman, co-author of the recently released humor book SWEET ’STACHE: 50 Badass Mustaches and the Faces Who Sport Them and founder of the pop culture website thecheappop.com. A SWEET ’STACHE book signing and performances from some of the Conservatory’s ensembles and faculty (Nakia Verner, Irena Portenko, and Barbara Podgurski are among the talent lined up thus far) will precede the countywide mustache contest. Former New York Met Wally Backman will be honored at the event.

Comedienne Sara Benincasa (Sirius Cosmo Radio) will emcee the event... Guest judges include Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner, Opie and Anthony’s “Primetime” Sam Roberts, Hard Drugs lead singer Jeff Lee, News 12 Anchor Tara Rosenblum, and Film Critic Marshall Fine. Jessica Rozler and Andrea Lavinthal, co-authors of “The Hookup Handbook” and Chattman and “’Stache” co-author Rich Tarantino will also be on hand. Nearby Tuscany Cafe will provide locally-roasted coffee and refreshments.

Admission is $12 or $20 (which includes a signed copy of the book). Partial proceeds will benefit the not-for-profit school’s scholarships and tuition assistance.
