TWC Takes Over Adler After Dark: In Vino Cosmica
- Community & Culture
- Adler Planetarium, Chicago IL
The Philadelphia production of Xanadu knows that TWC members make the best audience. So in addition to prime seats to the hilarious musical comedy, they're offering us an hour-long open bar before the show, tours of the set, and photos with the cast, all included in a regularly priced $25 ticket.
Xanadu is a hilarious, award-winning musical comedy adventure about believing in magic and following your dreams. It follows Kira, a beautiful, magical Greek muse, who is sent on a quest from the heavens to inspire a young artist to achieve his greatest dream – to build a roller disco! (Yep, it’s the 80s!) Based on the cult-classic film starring Olivia Newton-John, this roller-skating, disco-dancing adventure weaves popular ’80s songs like “Magic,” “Suddenly,” “I’m Alive,” “Evil Woman,” and “Xanadu” into the show The New York Times called “simultaneously indefensible and irresistible.” It’s hilarity on wheels…and in leg warmers!
The show takes place at 7:30pm (sharp!) on Thursday, July 17 at Christ Church Neighborhood House (20 North American St.). The open beer and wine bar begins at 6:30.

The Welcoming Committee is a movement of people who think it's time for LGBTQ folks to experience every bar, sports game, event, venue and major travel destination the same way straight people do. We recreate the comfort of being at a gay bar everywhere we go. For one night only.
