The Wistar Institute Leadership Council invites you to the opening reception of
A nexus of small and large - art and science - teaching and exploring
On display will be the exhibit of winning images from Nikon’s 2013
Small World photography contest. These photos provide the viewer
with a glimpse into a world so small it can only be viewed through
the lens of a microscope.
Also, for one night only, The Wistar Institute’s collection of largescale
anatomical sculptures constructed by William Rush will be
on display. Dr. Caspar Wistar, our Institute’s namesake, used these
early 19th-century models to help illustrate comparative anatomy
in his medical lectures.
