About the Session: Join Canyon Ranch Fitness and Yoga Specialist, Elizabeth Brewer, as she guides participants through the relaxing, effective and educational practice of Chair Yoga. You will experience the value of various yoga poses while utilizing a chair for seated exercise and for balance in optional standing poses. Elizabeth will teach alignment and form in the basic yoga postures along with emphasis and instruction on appropriate breathing techniques.
Please wear comfortable clothing.
Parking: Heading west on Speedway Blvd, turn right on Cherry Ave (traffic light). Heading north, drive past Helen St. Directly after Helen St, on the right-hand side is a long, narrow parking lot. Park in that lot and walk east toward a large, white metal structure and the building will be on your right. Parking is free.
All sessions are taught by nationally certified fitness and movement professionals from Canyon Ranch Health Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Each class is designed to offer those affected with arthritis the ability to learn and practice varying modalities of exercise and movement in a supportive environment. In addition, all classes offer a seated option and modifications for those with mobility-related conditions. Class size is limited to maximize particpant experience and to provide a safe environment.
