Raise your glass, experience some things you’ve likely never seen at an event like this, and hit the dance floor to celebrate 10 years of PlatteForum’s award-winning programs that serve artists, underserved youth, and the community.
The unGala will feature live artist demonstrations by many of PlatteForum’s 70 past creative residents, a deliciously creative menu provided by the iconic Denver Italian restaurant Carmine’s on Penn, dessert treats by the Denver Cupcake Truck, the fabulous wines of Infinite Monkey Theorem, the sounds of local latin jazz outfit Conjuntos Colores, several surprise pop-up performances and special appearances, and a community mural project, before breaking into an all-out dance party led by current PlatteForum creative residents DJs Memetic and Pho to close out the night. Each ticket includes all food, entertainment, and two complimentary glasses of wine before a cash bar kicks in.
Did we mention we’ll close out the night with the best dance party ever?*

PlatteForum is an award-winning, unique community arts center, artist-in-residence program, and youth development program that matches underserved youth with master artists in intensive, structured, and long-term creative learning environments. Our work is grounded in a belief that the creative process nurtures discovery, self-expression, development and growth, and each program is built upon the interconnection of the creative process and three vital elements: youth, artists, and community. PlatteForum supports the professional lives of artists through a curated, internationally competitive residency in which each resident is provided the time, space, and support to pursue and exhibit their work while closely collaborating with youth. The artist-youth relationship is a special opportunity for both in which residents experience unique inspiration from working side by side with youth, and youth gain a deep understanding of the artist's process and method. Through PlatteForum's programs that engage, educate, and enrich both youth and adults in our community, artists take their work to the next level, youth gain a sense of pride by learning what they can accomplish, and community grows richer from the expansion of the arts and contribution of youth as they build productive lives.
PlatteForum is the proud recipient of the 2011 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award and the 2006 Mayor's Award for Excellence in the Arts
