Maple Leaf Bar's 40th Anniversary JAZZFEST Series
Thursday, April 24th:
The Trio featuring Johnny Vidacovich, Erick "Jesus" Coomes (of Lettuce), and B3 & trumpet wizard Nicholas Payton
NEW ORLEANS, LA- Since 1974 the Maple Leaf Bar has presented the best music local music New Orleans has to offer, especially during Jazzfest. The “Leaf” is the oldest operating music venue outside of the French Quarter, and celebrates 40 years of presenting live music this year. The four decades of night-time Jazzfest Series have boasted legendary collaborations, and surprise sit-ins, and this year is sure to not disappoint. Our Funk N’ Stay Up sunrise shows begin at 3am, later than any other late-night show, and everybody knows there will be music at the Leaf long after every other club has called it a night.
