The Tanzania Project
Over 60 albinos in Tanzania have been reported murdered for their limbs that have been ground and mixed with tribal medicine and sold by witch doctors as good luck charms. Others have disappeared or have been mutilated.
Assisting Children in Need (ACN) was asked by the Kilimanjaro branch of the Tanzania Albino Society (K-TAS) to assist them to develop a strategy to address the discrimination leveled against albinos in the region.
