The Swingin' Harlem History Tour
New York, NY
Fancy getting an insight into the historical facts of Harlem in a fun way, while at the same time learning about New York City’s past and present?
The Swingin’ Harlem History Tour will introduce you to the swing era of Harlem in the 20s to 40s from the perspective of a swing dancer.
Your real New York experience begins with a walking tour of Harlem exploring the social and musical changes of the time and ends at one of the local jazz venues, where you will learn a few swing moves*.
The tour presents the significant places from Harlem’s time as the ’joy spot’ of American music and brings you up to date on the City’s swingin’ dance scene.
