The Superhero Ball
Friday, October 4, 2013 at 7:00 PM - Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 12:00 AM (PDT)
It's a bird, it's a plane...it's the inaugural Superhero Ball in support of BC Children’s Hospital. On Friday October 4, 2013 the Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel will bring together caped crusaders for a fundraising event unlike any other. Arrive Up, Up and Away at our revolving Vistas rooftop on the 19th floor. Dressed as your alter-ego, you'll spin 360 degrees around Coal Harbour enjoying live entertainment from DJ Southpaw, artfully crafted cocktails, and superhero worthy canapés. The red carpet event will feature costume contests, Butter photo booth and much more! The highlight will certainly be the silent auction, where you’ll have a real opportunity to flex your muscles to help BC’s kids.
2013 marks the 30th year Marriott has been raising money for BC Children’s Hospital. In collaboration with guests, partners and associates, Marriott International has raised more than $66 million to help children in local communities.
Can superheroes stay in the hotel?
Absolutely! $129 rates are available using this code:
Do I need to wear a costume?
We are encouraging attendees to dress up as their alter-ego to be eligible for our costume contest and accompanying prizes. Costumes are optional, however.
What are the costume prize categories?
Prizes will be awarded to most original, best duo and best villain.
My kids would love this! Can I bring them?
This is an adult event for attendees 19+. Think of it as a grown-up birthday party. Goody bag included.
What do I get for the ticket price?
Entry to the city's best party, of course! We'll be providing fabulous entertainment by DJ Southpaw, a photobooth and lots of activities throughout the evening. Entry includes one cocktail. Oh, and forget the superhero figure for one night...we'll also be serving passed canapes and dessert all evening.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
You're flying, aren't you? Our team of Valets will park your batmobile at the hotel, or you can self-park. Coin operated metered parking is available on West Hastings and West Cordova.
