The Story of Yellow Shoes showcases how Disney has used storytelling throughout its history to connect the consumer with the brand they love all while having some fun along the way. Come get an insider’s look into Disney’s advertising and creative process and a peek behind the curtain into the creative shop behind some of Disney’s biggest campaigns and even a few you may have never seen.
Will Gay is a Creative Director at Disney’s Yellow Shoes Creative Group—the in-house advertising agency for the Walt Disney Company. In his roll, Will leads a diverse and talented creative team made up of artists, writers and designers. Yellow Shoes is tasked daily with creating breakthrough advertising for all of the global Disney Destination brands, including: Disney Parks, Adventures by Disney, Disney Vacation Club and Disney Cruise Line.
Will has been using his skills as an Art Director-turned-Creative Director in the agency world for 15 years. He has won numerous awards and has been published for his work in the fields of advertising, design and illustration. He is also an active member of AIGA and Ad Fed.
When & Where
AAF-Jacksonville is the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), within the AAF 4th District. Along with its fellow chapters and the 4th District, AAF-Jacksonville is dedicated to serving members by protecting and advancing advertising interests, including the freedom to truthfully advertise legal products. AAF-Jacksonville fulfills set goals through effective government relations, professional development, public education, advertising standards, community service and recognition of excellence.
