THE STATE OF WOMEN OF COLOR - A Human Rights Initiative
Date and time
Location
YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester
515 North Street Lower Lounge White Plains, NY 10605Description
This year's Human Rights Symposium is a discussion of the accomplishments realized and the challenges faced by women of color. According to a recent report from the Center for American Progress, by the year 2050, women of color will constitute 53 percent of all women in the United States, yet they continue to be marginalized due to inequities in structural and institutional power.
We hope you will join us for what promises to be an eye-opening exchange of information that just may change - or confirm - the way you think about women of color in our County and across the Nation.
