Please join us for a free event at the Walker Art Center cinema to hear Dr. Marla Spivak speak on “The State of The Bees.” Professor Spivak is an entomologist and honey bee expert at the University of Minnesota.
In 2010, Dr. Spivak was the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship and is currently a Distinguished McKnight Professor in Entomology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Spivak runs the Bee Lab with the support of Mr. Gary Reuter and a team of graduate students.
One in three mouthfuls of our diet are impacted by bee pollination. In this free event, you will learn more about honey bees, their role in the global food supply, and the serious threats they are facing. You will also learn what you can do to help the honey bees.

We will also have tables set up for local honey sellers and other related services or products.
