Event Details

The Hills Are Alive:  Fact versus Fiction in THE SOUND OF MUSIC --  Austria's most famous singing family, the von Trapps of Salzburg, lived a true and compelling story that was immortalized in the classic Broadway and Hollywood musical, THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

Join Sam von Trapp, grandson of Maria and Georg von Trapp; Bert Fink, SVP/Communications for Rodgers & Hammerstein: An Imagem Company; and Michael Gigl, Region Manager USA & Australia for the Austrian Tourist Office, for a discussion on the real story versus the musical tale, plus the musical's global popularity, its iconic film version (shot on location in Salzburg), and its place in 21st century popular and musical culture.

Since space is limited we kindly ask you to register to be admitted
