Poop. We all do it; from birds to worms to humans. Come to Brightwater Center and join IslandWood and King County as we explore the world of poop and the science behind it. We’ll search for the poop of the coyotes, deer, rabbits, and otters that live at Brightwater and learn how even when we don’t see wildlife, we can find evidence of their presence. Tours of the state-of-the-art Brightwater Treatment Facility will also be available at 10am and 12pm for those curious about what happens to their own poop after they flush. This event is great for all ages, however, treatment plant tour attendees must be aged 9 and up.
Pre-registration required for treatment plant tours at: http://green.kingcounty.gov/wastewater-education/apptrequest.aspx
This event is part of the 2013 Seattle Science Festival – visit http://seattlesciencefestival.org/ for more information.
