The Salon Series with Jenny Kendler
Friday, October 11, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (CDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
For "Invasive Species," Jenny Kendler presents drawings and sculptures that complicate the relationship between nature and culture. These delicate works ask the viewer to engage with the "radical otherness" of the natural world.
Equally radical, Chef Johnny Clark (formerly of Bonsoiree) will craft bespoke small bites inspired by Kendler's interests in vegetarianism, sustainability and urban foraging. We'll hear from him on his process and collaborating with visual artists to create memorable dishes.
In The Office we introduce you to Alexandra Noe, a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago. Noe's knit and fabric-collages dens transform staid gallery spaces into active dens that sit somewhere between cozy and uncomfortable.
Note: The Salon Series is currently in a raw space. Due to construction elsewhere in the building, we will be using an off-site bathroom.
A portion of your ticket price supports the artists.
