You saw them every day for 3 (or 4) years, but how much do you know about them?
This walking tour by students of GW’s Academy of Hospitality and Tourism gives you the history and background about the WPA-sponsored murals in the library, lobby, and main hall; the frieze, the Washington statues, and the artists who created them.
Tour is between 60 and 80 minutes in length and involves much walking and stairs.
UPDATE: Enter campus at 32nd & Anza Main Entrance; rendezvous in 1st Floor Main Hallway.
No parking is available on campus, so allow for extra time to find street parking. Please be considerate of our neighbors' driveways. Consider taking public transportation to campus.
Tour ends in the football bleachers. Attendees must remain out of the building at tour's end, even if you are attending the evening Gala Variety Showcase, so that we may prepare for those events.

GWHS Alumni Association
We Are Eagles 4 LIFE!
The GWHS Alumni Association was founded in 1952, and our mission is to help GWHS maintain its academic, athletic and extracurricular excellence. We connect over 5,600 alumni members through our newsletter, emails and social media, providing news about alumni, the school, reunions and related events.
Thanks to the generous contributions of our alumni, the Alumni Endowment bestows grants for classroom supplies and student activities unobtainable due to budget cutbacks. Alumni contributions have established additional Endowments to benefit specific departments. The Association also bestows over 20 senior awards as well as Principal's Cups with cash awards in honor of eight former Principals.
We can continue to advance our mission only with the ongoing financial support of our alumni members! Visit our website and click the "Join-Donate" link to become a member and/or contribute, or contact us for info. We hope to see you at an Alumni event soon!
