The Prism Project of Greater NOLA (TPP of GNO) is an inclusive performing arts program for children with and without disabilities, ages 6 - 14. We rehearse dance, music and theater every Saturday, producing an original show each year. Our goal is to close the gap in recreational opportunities for children with disabilities, increase self-confidence, increase self-esteem, increase peer relations and, of course, increase perfoming arts skills.
TPP of GNO operates under Families Helping Families of Southeast Louisiana and is based on the original Ball State Prism Project in Muncie, Indiana. This is TPP of GNO's second year in operation.
This year, TPP of GNO will be performing "There's No Place Like Home" - a New Orleans twist on the classic Wizard of Oz. Come follow the Mardi Gras Road with our Performers on April 12, 2014. All proceeds from ticket sales go toward The Prism Project of Greater NOLA. The performance should last about an hour, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Baptist Church.
The show will start promptly at 1pm. Please arrive before the start of show to claim your seat!
DVDs of the show and t-shirts will be on sale. Proceeds again go to The Prism Project of Greater NOLA.
TPP of GNO's sponsors are: The Davis Molony Fund, The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, Metropolitan Human Services District, Couch, Conville & Blitt, LLC., The Autism Society of Greater New Orleans, Michael Melesurgo, Risa Daniels and Jesse Abend.
