Juan Antonio Cuellar is director of the Batuta National Foundation, a government initiative to enhance the appreciation, practice, and teaching of music in Colombia. He will speak on working with communities, businesses and governments in establishing music initiatives on a smaller scale. Learn how to employ the support of differing organizations (often with their own, conflicting interests), engage students outside of lessons, and promote arts education and funding regardless of federal arts funding.
