Before co-founding Cloudera in 2008, Amr (@awadallah) was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Accel Partners. Prior to joining Accel he served as Vice President of Product Intelligence Engineering at Yahoo!, and ran one of the very first organizations to use Hadoop for data analysis and business intelligence.
John leads DataStax's field operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa and has spent over 19 years within the enterprise infrastructure software and hardware industry for companies such as Citrix, XenSource, Platform Computing and Compaq.
Steve Jenkins is vice president of EMEA at MapR Technologies. Steve is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience within the industry. He has worked with a number of market breaking USA companies, including, Q1 Labs, Isilon, and F5 Networks, where he guided the successful creation, growth and expansion of a European presence.
Peter is Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Greenlight, one of the UK largest independent digital agencies, and is also responsible for the Hydra search engine marketing platform. He was previously VP of Engineering for Touch Clarity, the behavioural targeting company acquired first by Omniture, and then by Adobe. Peter was also part of the management team of the company that created the Clementine data mining platform, acquired first by SPSS, and then by IBM. Apart from his interest in Artificial intelligence and Big Data, Peter is an expert on Industrial Automation and Robotics from his time as Chief Technologist at Brooks Automation. Peter is a graduate of the Technical University of Denmark, and was a research fellow at the University of Reading.
Dan has 20 years of experience specialising in delivering IT solutions as part of technology enabled business change projects and programmes across the public and private sectors. Dan leads our digital services work helping clients assess the opportunities and maximising the potential of new technologies and channels such as online, mobile, social and big data, through pilot and delivery phases of projects. Dan has led client engagements across a number of sectors including consumer, retail, health and finance. Dan also leads our work as a Google Enterprise Partner of the Year 2012. Dan will demonstrate real examples to explain how PA have helped its clients take advantage of the technologies that surround BigData to deliver useful insight and real value quickly and efficiently.
Benedict Marden is a software executive with over 15 years of sales experience working and building data management solutions with some of the largest Financial Market, Telecommunications and retail organistions in the world. Benedicts last twelve years have been predominately spent advising enterprises on the appropriate software to solve specific business requirements. He previously worked for IBM, EMC & Quest Software before joining Hortonworks as the Enterprise Sales Manager based in the UK.
