Event Details

Hip pain is often misunderstood. Designed to address critical gaps in knowledge, this conference delivers a comprehensive review of hip pain causes, natural history, primary care strategies, surgical and non-surgical treatment, physical therapy and rehabilitation and considerations for the athlete.

This conference is presented by Boston Children’s Hospital’s Orthopedic Center and Sports Medicine Division and Harvard Medical School.

Course objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:
• Cite the causes of hip pain in the young athlete
• Discuss the interplay between soft tissue and bony abnormalities
• Describe the approaches to rehabilitation in the young athlete with hip pain
Target audience
The target audiences for this program are Primary Care Physicians, Sports Medicine Physicians, Nurses, Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers.
Accreditation
The Massachusetts Medical Society designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity.
