The One iPad (or few iPads) Classroom: Strategies for Successful Implementation (K-12- all content areas)
Discover how even one (or a few) iPads in the classroom can be effectively utilized to support teaching and learning. Participants will learn how to use an iPad with a projector and/or SMART Board for sharing content with a group. They will also explore how the iPad can provide opportunities for creating class movies and books, assessing students’ progress and so much more, using free and low cost apps and the built in camera and microphone. Ways of implementing one or a few iPads in various learning situations, such as whole group, small group instruction, will be discussed providing participants with practical ideas that can be integrated into any content area or self-contained classroom.
Kristine Scharaldi is an experienced teacher and outstanding staff developer in the area of technology integration in K-12 classrooms, who is back to Kean by popular demand.
Kristine’s workshops will be held from 8:00-2:00 in Hutchinson Hall Room 306 at the Kean University, Union Campus. A continental breakfast will be served and participants may bring a brown bag lunch.
We strongly encourage registrants to “bring your own device” (BYOD), but some iPads are available, if needed. Note that workshop sessions are limited to 20-25 registrants to allow for ongoing interactive hands-on experiences.
