The Olympic Freeway Murals: Celebrating 30 Years

The Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles presents the 30th anniversary of the Olympic Freeway Murals, created as part of the Olympic Arts Festival in 1984. Honoring the ten Olympic muralists and MCLA's restoration of these historic murals, the event will bring together the artists, politial leaders and athletes and leaders from the Los Angeles Olympic community. We will unveil a special limited edition commemorating the Olympic Murals produced by The Lapis Press and present a selection of artwork for auction to benefit MCLA by Kent Twitchell, Ed Ruscha and other top artists. Special guest speakers will celebrate the Olympic murals, and you will enjoy great food and drink!
1-2pm: VIP reception: Meet with all of our VIP guests. Your VIP ticket will be applied towards the purchase of your successful auction bid or towards purchase of the Olympic Freeway Murals limited edition. You'll get the first look and first crack at making the winning bid!
2-4pm: General admission gathering to meet and honor the Olympic muralists. Your opportunity to bid on available artworks. Your ticket price will be applied the same way. There are specially priced tickets especially for you if you are a muralist!
