Last chance to join us this Sunday afternoon, July 29th. Wine tasting, food, and live music - all free, just let us that you are coming (so we don't run out of food!)
Urbano’s ’09 Barbera has been on a “soft release” since the June 9th Barbera festival in Amador Co. It’s time to have a formal and "official"release of this delicious and exceptional vintage. Come by the winery Sunday July 29th for some Barbera friendly food and LIVE music provided by The Bluegrass Deacons www.bluegrassdeacons.com
Many of you may not be that familiar with Barbera. Barbera originated in the Piemonte region of northern Italy, where it played second-fiddle to the more regal Nebbiolo. For decades, Barbera vines were planted in poorer sites, and then farmed for high yields, which resulted in wines that if memorable, were only so because of their awfulness. Things have changed since the 1880’s. Urbano’s ’09 Barbera comes from the Lewis vineyard in the Lodi appellation. It’s characterized by its fresh cherry aromas along with hints of licorice and jasmine. Only 80 cases were produced. We will be offering 10% discount on three or more bottles and 15% discount on all case sales for this release party only. Come by and claim yours!
